The Liberal Arts Department is pleased to present the latest in our ongoing Works in Progress series, our own Visiting Faculty member George Hoagland, presenting "We Roll Deep": Situated Critical Race + Media, Academic Labor, and Tech Collectivity.

George Hoagland earned a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota, and recent publications include "Paul Beatty's Slumberland and the Myth of Blackness" in Ethnic Literatures and Transnationalism: Critical Imaginaries for a Global Age (Routledge, 2015) and the collaboratively written Critical Race and Ethnic Studies Pedagogy Workbook, published in Scalar by FemTechNet. Hoagland works in queer, trans, and intersex people of color (QTIPOC) studies; critical theories of race, class, gender, and sexuality; transnational and anti-colonial studies; science, technology and society (STS) studies; performance studies; and pedagogy.
