This is a reminder that the deadline to withdraw from a Spring Semester 2018 course and receive a notation of W is Friday, April 20 at 5:00 p.m.

If you plan to withdraw from a course, be sure to submit any remaining withdrawal forms as soon as possible. Faculty signatures are required.

FormZ at MCAD

FormZ has expired 

When launching formZ, you may notice a message saying "This software expired on 09/01/xx. Please contact the vendor to renew your software." Help Desk is aware of this issue and maintains an updated license file to get you up and running again. Please come see us and we'll hook you up!!

How to a print a Form_Z File

  • Exporting from Form_Z for print output
  • line art / wireframe / hidden line
  • File > Image Export
  • TIFF or Illustrator (if making a banner print, your AI file will then need to be saved as a PDF_
  • default Options should be fine
  • rendered art
  • make sure art is rendered at 200 or 300dpi
  • File > Image Export
  • TIFF
  • default Options should be fine

follow respective directions for whichever output method you've chosen (OCE, Banner, Epson 4880, etc.)

In order to print a file created in FormZ you will need to export your file to a printable file format. Note: that you may experience a change in scaling when outputting a file for print.

Therefore, it is recommended you include a scaling device in your image (like a 1" square or set of squares, a ruler, etc.) to gauge the accuracy of your printed file. 

Line Art / Wireframe / Hidden Line

With your file/image open to to:

  • File > Image Export
  • Choose TIFF or Illustrator (if making an OCE or banner print, your AI file will then need to be saved as a PDF)
  • The default options should be fine
  • Follow respective directions for whichever output method you've chosen (OCE, Banner, Epson 4880, etc.)

Rendered Art

Make sure your art is rendered at 200 or 300dpi, then go to:

  • File > Image Export
  • Choose TIFF
  • Thedefault options should be fine
  • Follow respective directions for whichever output method you've chosen (OCE, Banner, Epson 4880, etc.)
