MCAD builds a new standard set of software for each semester.
Your computer’s OS has a built-in application called FontBook.app that manages all of the installed fonts on your system. This article describes how to work with fonts in FontBook.

Students participating in the MCAD Laptop Initiative know that their access to many applications is "keyed." This means without the ability to talk to our key server, MCAD's group-licensed applications will not open.

Printing at MCAD is handled through a small program called Papercut. In order for you to send a print job to a printer, the Papercut system needs to know who you are and deduct the appropriate amount of money from your account.
To keep your Mac secure when you step away from it you can configure your computer to require a username and password when it wakes from sleep, or after the screensaver activates.
