Don't Delay! Last Chance to Avoid Late Payment Charges

Dear Students,

As you may have already noticed, your Spring 2018 preliminary tuition information is now available for viewing.

The spring tuition deadline is January 5, 2018. A $250 Late Tuition Payment charge will be applied to all* unpaid account balances after January 5, 2018.

* Late payment charges do not apply to spring payment plan participants in good standing.

Please login to MAXPay and review your spring tuition balance and finalize any and all financial aid requirements, third party payment arrangements, such as 529 investment payments and transfers, Veterans Educational Benefits, and/or Employer Reimbursements, in advance of tomorrow's deadline.

To view your Spring tuition information:

Step 1 - Login to your Student MAX Account

If you are a parent and your student forwarded this communication to you, skip to Step 3.

Students: Loginto your myMCAD Student Dashboard and click, 'Launch MAXPay' from the Student Accounts page to view your preliminary tuition balance. This link cannot be used for parent access.

Step 2. You are strongly encouraged to invite parents, third party payers (charitable relatives, friends, etc.) to access your student account well in advance of winter break which begins on December 22, 2017. It may take up to 24 hours to authorize parent/3rd party access. All parent/3rd party account authorizations made after December 22, 2017will not be processed until the college reopens on January 2,2018!

Activation requests are processed by the MCAD Records Office, M-F, during normal business hours.

Complete the FERPA Form from your myMCAD Student Dashboard. Enter parent/3rd party email addresses carefully and select the information areas to which you wish to grant access. Make sure to include Financial Information if they will be helping you pay your tuition.

Step 3 - Parents, Login to your myMCAD Parent Dashboard
Students, skip to step 4.

For parents who have activated their own user accounts, login to your myMCAD dashboard and click on your student's name located beneath their photo to view your Tools and Informationaccess privileges. Click, 'Launch MAX - View and Pay Tuition'.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO PARENTS: If you are receiving this email but you have not yet received account activation instructions from the MCAD Records Office, email immediately. Also, check your spam folder for an email from

Step 4 - Check your Balance & Review Your Charges and Credits Carefully

From the MAX Main Page, click 'View Account Balance Information' located next to your 'Balance Due', to view a detailed listing of tuition and fee charges, payments, and completed financial aid transactions for the fall semester.

Make sure tuition charges, housing charges, financial aid, health insurance waivers (for new, spring undergraduates and Graphic Design Post Baccalaureate students only) , etc. are accurately reflected in your account balance.


WAIVE THE Spring Health Insurance!!! Only incoming Spring freshman and transfer students enrolled in the BFA/BS, and Graphic Design Certificate programs are charged for Spring health insurance and thus, should complete the online waiver form. You must have active health insurance in order to opt out of purchasing the prorated spring 2018 MCAD sponsored healthcare plan.

Step 6 - Review Your Financial Aid!!!

If you are expecting financial aid that is not reflected in your student account balance information, take a moment to sit down and review your financial aid and ensure you have: 1. Accepted your award and 2. submitted all required documents or completed all necessary steps, such as completing Entrance Loan Counseling, signing your Master Promissory Note(s), or submitted 'Thank You' notes for certain scholarship awards.

Parents with access may view student financial aid information from the 'Tools and Information' menu, located on the Student Info page of their myMCAD Parent Dashboard.

Step 7 - Need More Time to Pay? Enroll in MAXPlan! Our 5-Month Installment Plan

The Spring 2018 MAXPlan is now available for enrollment.

Students may access the enrollment link by clicking on the link at the top of the MAX main page, or the link located under 'MAXPlan Monthly Installment Agreements.


  • Fall 2017-18 payment plan participants must complete their fall plans before they may enroll in the Spring MAXPlan.
  • MAXPlans do not automatically renew each semester and participants who wish to continue making monthly installments must re-enroll and remit their first payment via the MAXPlan enrollment link in order to continue making monthly payments and avoid late payment charges.
  • Partial paymentsdo not constitute enrollment in the MCAD monthly installment plan, otherwise known as MAXPlan. Students/parents must enroll in the payment plan using the MAXPlan enrollment links provided and agree to the terms and conditions outlined by the MAXPlan in order to avoid late payment penalties and participate in a monthly installment plan.

The cost to enroll each semester is $30 ($60 annually). By enrolling in the MAXPlan, the tuition balance will automatically be divided into 5 equal, monthly installments. The first payment, plus the $30 enrollment fee, is due on or before January 5, 2018 and must be paid at the time of activation.
