It's flu season! And this year Norovirus is also making the rounds.
Flu symptoms (from MN Dept. of Health):
Flu symptoms include fever, dry cough, sore throat, headache, extreme tiredness, and body aches. These symptoms usually begin suddenly and might be severe enough to stop your daily activities.
Norovirus symptoms (from MN Dept. of Health):
Common symptoms include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramping, and may include headache, fever, muscle ache. A person is typically infected for one to three days. This is often referred to as the stomach flu (though it is not flu related).
If you have these symptoms, please stay home and avoid contact with others. Drink liquids and get rest.
There is no prescribed treatment for Norovirus. If you have not already gotten a flu shot, it is recommended. If you are pregnant or have a chronic medical condition you will want to contact a health provider. Park Nicollet Urgent Care is near campus and can be reached at (952) 993-8000. Or contact your insurance provider.
Contact your faculty immediately to make arrangements for missing class.

- Cough or sneeze into your arm
- Stay home if you have symptoms
- Get plenty of sleep and drink water
Take care and stay healthy!
