It's flu season!

Flu symptoms (from MN Dept. of Health):

Flu symptoms include fever, dry cough, sore throat, headache, extreme tiredness, and body aches. These symptoms usually begin suddenly and might be severe enough to stop your daily activities.

If you have these symptoms, please stay home and avoid contact with others. Drink liquids and get rest.

--If you get sick with flu symptoms and are at high risk of flu complications, have a chronic health condition, or are pregnant, call a health care provider for advice immediately.

Park Nicollet Urgent Care is near campus and can be reached at (952) 993-8000. Or contact your insurance provider for clinic information. In most cases, MCAD will provide taxi transportation to a medical facility.

Contact your faculty immediately to make arrangements for missing class.

Preventing the flu from spreading is key!

To prevent the flu from spreading:

  • Wash your hands
  • Cough or sneeze into your arm
  • Stay home if you have symptoms
