Northern Spark, the Twin Cities' all-night arts festival, is back again in 2017! This year the projects will be focused along the Green Line that connects downtown Minneapolis to downtown St. Paul and takes up the theme "Climate Chaos I People Rising."
MCAD Gallery and the Sustainable Design Program are sponsoring the project String Survey: Drawing the Line on Climate, which is a collaborative effort of Arlene Birt '02, Nichole Goodman, Randy Walker, and Jack Becker '76.
This project will be set up in Common Park, the new green space by the US Bank Stadium. We need a total of 12 volunteers.
We're looking for guides to help audience members string their responses across trees in a "string survey." The role will entail distributing strings, demonstrating how to attach the strings to individual participants, and crowd control when needed. Some take-down shifts are also available. Shifts are 2 hours and occur throughout the night of June 10.
