After years of intensive art and design theory, practice, hundreds of critiques, and unrelenting focus, you’re ready to launch into the creative workforce. Career Development is here to assist.
As a graduating student, you will participate in one of two Emerging Talent Showcase (ETS) events on Friday, May 3. If you're unsure of which event to participate in, please discuss with your senior project faculty member or program director/chair. Preparation for these events begins now!
Friday, April 26, Noon–1:00 p.m.
Mandatory for Portfolio Show Participants
Be prepared for the Emerging Talent Showcase. Career Development will guide you through resumes, professional standards of conduct, and introductory speeches. Pizza will be provided! Attendance is required for all portfolio show attendees.
EMERGING TALENT SHOWCASE
Friday, May 3, 12:00–3:30 p.m.
Display your work and meet with potential employers, including curators, art directors, art buyers, HR directors, art consultants, interior designers, and other industry professionals.
Visiting Critic Review
Friday, May 3, 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. or 1:00–3:00 p.m.
This year's visiting critic, the Minneapolis Institute of Art's Gabriel Ritter (curator and head of Contemporary Art) will critique your senior exhibition.
Registration for the event will open on March 29, 2019.
