Dear MCAD Community,
It is with mixed emotions that I share the news that Todd Jones, Director of Campus Safety, will be leaving MCAD to take on the role of Head of Security at Mia. His last day at MCAD is Friday, September 8. Campus Safety Coordinator Tamra Morehouse has been named as Interim Director.
Todd has had a tremendous impact on campus, well beyond keeping the community safe and secure. He has been a welcoming and reassuring presence, an empathetic listener, and a generous supporter of students, staff, faculty, and the broader neighborhood. He will be missed.
As Todd stated in his letter of resignation “I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the opportunities and support that I have received during my tenure at MCAD. The journey has been incredibly rewarding. I am grateful for the friendships I have formed with my colleagues during my time here. It has been an honor to serve as the Director of Campus Safety, and I am genuinely appreciative of the opportunities I have been given.”
Please join me in thanking him for his work and passion that he brought to the MCAD community and wishing him well in his new endeavors. As we begin our search for a new Director of Campus Safety, I want to thank Tamra Morehouse for her commitment to MCAD and stepping in as the Interim Director a t this important moment.
