The CDC recommends staying up-to-date with COVID-19 booster shots. The new bivalent boosters are proven to be safe and effective against getting seriously sick from the two most prevalent Covid variants. Protect yourself and everyone around you by staying up-to-date on Covid vaccinations.
Free COVID-19 Tests:
The Minnesota Department of Health is offering more free Rapid At-Home Test Kits. Minnesota residents can now get up to a total of 12 free at-home test kits sent to you at no charge. If you've gotten test kits from MDH in the past, you can still order the difference between what you've already ordered and a total of 12. It's always handy to have some test kits on hand if you start to feel under the weather.
Finally, a brief reminder that 3-ply surgical or higher-grade (KN95, KF94 and N95) face masks are still required to be worn by everyone inside all MCAD Academic Buildings (all staff, students, faculty, visitors, contractors, etc.). Cloth masks alone do not meet the face covering requirement. However, you may combine a cloth mask (top layer) and a 3-ply surgical mask (bottom layer) to improve fit and increase protection. Surgical masks are available at the Welcome Desk for any community member needing a mask.
