MCAD is pleased to announce that we will be offering an on-going, on-campus, free rapid covid testing clinic to MCAD Community members beginning on Monday September 27th. In conjunction with the Minnesota Department of Health, MCAD will be using the Cue Health diagnostic system that uses an anterior nasal swab which is self administered and needs to go only about 1” into the nose.
The swab sample is analyzed on-site, using Cue’s single-use, laboratory-grade cartridge reader. It is a single-use system, not cleaned or disinfected for reuse in any way. Test results are available in about 30 minutes with an accuracy rating of 97+%, comparable to the accuracy of the saliva-based test kits we’ve used.
