We want to make everyone aware that if you have a 2016-2019 MacBook Pro with keyboard issues, Apple will repair your keyboard for free under this Keyboard Service Program. Visit the link for more information about the exact models this program covers and how to start a repair.
The models affected are the ones with the USB-C ports/touchbar/very flat keyboards, and the issues commonly seen involve duplicate or missing letters or "sticky" keys. If you're a student and received a laptop from the school in the last few years, this applies to you. If you're staff or faculty and have a newer laptop that belongs to MCAD, stop by the Help Desk and let us start the repair.
To start a free keyboard repair with Apple, you may need to explicitly mention this service program and the URL linked above to the Apple representative. Before bringing or sending your computer for repairs, always back up all your data.
If you have any questions or need help, visit or contact the Help Desk.
