MCAD Building Temperatures - The Changing of the Seasons

A friendly reminder that with fall like weather on us and winter around the corner, it's important to dress in layers when coming to MCAD.

This is especially true this year since our building's ventilation systems have been modified due to COVID. We've maximized the fresh air settings on all the HVAC units serving the Main Building, Library and Bookstore. On Morrison, we've opened the top floor windows 2 inches and have asked that first floor offices open their windows slightly while occupied. While these important steps allow us to bring fresh air into our buildings, it also means that on a cool day like today, all that fresh air tends to make the buildings much cooler. You can expect our building temps to vary more than usual this year because of these important steps.

With that said, if you think there is an issue with the heating, cooling, or ventilation systems in your area, do not hesitate to let us know by emailing facilities@mcad.edu or by calling 874-3749. We'd be happy to come check it out.

Thank you,
