PitchFest Award Winners update

Greetings! Below is a recap of PitchFest 2019!

In February 2019, 24 applicants submitted ideas for creative ventures and 12 were selected as finalists. The finalists worked with mentors to clarify their ideas and refine their presentations.  

PitchFest 2019 was held on Friday April 5, 2019 in MCAD's Auditorium 150 where the 12 finalists vied for $10,000 in awards!

The results are....

First Place $5,000 award: Studio Lumo
Ching Thao, Kelsey Maher, Sarah Steiner, and Rachel Bostic have formed an LLC and are in the process of launching their Game and Animation business.

Second Place $2,500 award: Sela Sol Toys
Eleanor Strong and Sarah Billings will explore possibilities for their company designing toys for children of all abilities once the semester is over.

Third Place $1,500 award: BadCo Press
Hannah Jerrie, Iris Monahan and Emily Allen are gathering submissions for their next arts anthology publication.

Audience Favorite Award, $1,000: Lazer
Zack Brandinelli, Spencer Scott, and Joe Andriani are moving forward with their quarterly graphic novel project featuring creator-­owned properties.
