Dear MCAD Students,
On Friday, January 31, 2025, MCAD's student information system's financial balance recalculation process experienced a 'fatal error' resulting in incorrect student account balance information being presented in MAXPay.
MCAD IT Support worked on the issue over the weekend and was able to resolve the matter early in the morning, Monday, February 3, 2025
However, the system error resulted in the suspension of some student payment plans (MAXPlan).
Student Accounts is currently working with the payment servicer to reinstate the student MAXPlans that were impacted by the balance calculation error.
Once spring MAXPlans have been restored, we will closely monitor the Automatic payment process to verify that student payments have been proces sed correctly.
A separate communication will be sent to any students enrolled in Automatic payments in the event that there is an issue.
