MCAD Campus Safety


Crime Alerts are posted in an effort to make the MCAD Community aware of any situation that poses a potential threat to the safety and well-being of those who live, work, study and visit the campus. By keeping you aware of crimes occurringin your community Campus Safety hopes to encourage you to become actively involved in crime prevention. Personal safety practices and knowledge are your best defense against crime. This is intended to promote safety on campus and comply, in part, with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1990.


Police are investigating a report of an assault that occurred Monday morning,

June 20, 2022 between 9:00 and 9:30 a.m., wherein an unknown female subject accosted a female who was walking through campus near Morrison LA wing ramp. The subject approached the woman, then started to yell and hit her with a stick, also punching and kicking her. The suspect also attempted to take the victim’s dog. The suspect fled by vehicle. The victim was able to provide Campus Safety a description of the suspect 's vehicle. Campus Safety was able to provide police with an image of the vehicle with plate, a late model grey Chevrolet sedan. Minor injuries were sustained by the victim.

  1. Try always to find a friend to accompany you. Even when you are in a familiar area.
  2. Be mindful of your surroundings and place a safe distance between you and potential hiding places.
