Michelle Wiseman, Sustainability Professional

Partnering with the Lifecycle Building Center of Greater Atlanta

 

Michelle Wiseman is a dedicated sustainability professional with a passion for advancing circularity and environmental action. As the former Director of Waste Diversion & Outreach at the City of Atlanta Mayor's Office of Resilience, she spearheaded initiatives to expand the concept of circularity for non-traditional materials to develop solutions to waste streams including building materials, food waste, textiles, & electronics. Michelle’s goal is to create holistic solutions for materials and promote workforce development for transformative change in underserved communities.

Michelle is currently leading the Atlanta Sustainability Ambassador Program, a six-session certificate program empowering the next generation of environmental advocates. Ambassadors engage in activities that promote sustainable practices and drive lasting change designed to spark the new green economy and open green career pathways. She is on the National Build Reuse Board of Directors.
