Join us for the exhibition and opening of our first Gallery 148 show of the semester, Holding Pressure, featuring the painting, print, and sculptural work of Isa Estrada and Kaia Hamilton. Holding Pressure examines complementary themes of connection, tension, and reprieve, creating an environment that asks the viewer to slow down, to move through layers of material and thought, and to stay long enough to sense what lies beneath the surface. In response to the current situation in our city, Kaia and Isa want to make this opening a space for gathering as community. To that end, this opening will be a place to come eat and be together. If you need a meal or simply need to be in community, come to Gallery 148 on Friday February 8 at 7:00 p.m. Holding Pressure is on view through February 18.
