Housed in the MCAD Library and administered by the Library staff, the collections of the MCAD Archives include documents, photographs, publications, and other materials related to the history of MCAD and its predecessor institutions, along with information about individuals associated with the school, including students, faculty, staff, visiting artists, and others. For more information, see Collections (link to that page)
Because many of the materials are fragile and irreplaceable, users are required to receive an orientation from a Library staff member prior to using the collections and complete a registration form (link to form). For more information, see Doing Research
The Minneapolis College of Art and Design Archival Processing Project was made possible by the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund, administered by the Minnesota Historical Society, through the vote of Minnesotans on November 4, 2008.
