Update from Presidential Search Committee

Dear MCAD community,

As co-chairs of the Presidential Search Committee, we are happy to report that the search is proceeding well and on schedule.  We have now identified a select number of individuals that we will invite to campus in the next several weeks.

While it is customary at the campus stage to have a "closed" or confidential search process, we are planning a campus round with select groups of faculty, students, staff, and administrators who will serve three very important roles:

Title IX Spring 2025

On January 9, 2025, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky ruled that the Biden administration's Title IX Final Rule is unconstitutional for all schools nationwide. As a result of this decision, MCAD will withdraw its current Title IX policy. In the interim and on advice from our legal counsel, MCAD will reinstate the 2020 Title IX Regulations to ensure compliance with federal requirements.

Call for Art Early Career Artist Show with Squirrel Haus Arts

This opportunity is for student/non-student artists as well as recent graduates from the past five years (Bachelors and Masters). In a post grad world, art opportunities can be difficult to find as well as extremely competitive. Lynaea Russom (she/they), a recent MCAD graduate has joined with Squirrel Haus Arts as a curator to give Early Career artists an opportunity to exhibit in their gallery. There is no theme for this exhibition. Artists are encouraged to submit three of their strongest current works.
