Scanning

Scanners are available in many of the public labs and studios for 24-hour use. Some scanners are capable of scanning film/negatives of various sizes.

Film holders are available for applicable scanners. (The Library circulation desk has a set for their scanners.)

Here are instructions for using the new Epson Scan 2 scanning application.

Scanners can be found in these locations:

• Epson 10/11000XL: up to 12x17" flat artwork/image.
     -225 Studio Area, Classroom 230, Classroom 430, Comic Studio, Library, Printshop, MFA Computer Lab.
• Epson v700 or v850: up to 8.5x14" flat artwork/image, 35mm, medium format, 4x5", and 8x10" film.
     -225 Studio Area, Classroom 331, Library, Photo Classroom 303.

All scanners are self-service and assistance is available. Make an appointment with SB staff for a quick tutorial. If you wish to forego scanning yourself, the Service Bureau can scan your fim/images for you. See prices below.

The public copier/printers in the Library and on the 3rd and 4th floors of the Main building can also make scans once logged in with your PaperCut account. You can email the scans to yourself. Cost is $0.06 per page.
