We invite you all to cheer on the first-year MCAD students as they fly their collaborative aerial art (kites)!
They are chasing some creative awards in the following areas:
- Shoot for the moon - the Aviation Award: Longest duration in air
- Message to the stars - The Communication Award: Content associated with the kite. What message do we want to send? Kites have been used historically for communication - what do you want to say?
- Fall to earth - Falling is not Failing, it’s finding your way back home: Most creative “landing”
- Making it - Materials and Ecological consideration: Most creative use of materials, especially creative reuse.
- Animation - Transformation and Storytelling: A kite that changes, tells a story, or transforms.
- Team effort - Dressing up, becoming a part of the art: Costumes and coordination to complement your kite.
Judged by special guest! Micheal Sanders → MIA CFO, former Director of the Bakken Museum!
