Currently On-View at The Mirror Lab, 3400 Cedar Ave, come celebrate the work of MCAD Alum Kara Faye Gregory.
Their solo show Slán leat (meaning “goodbye” in Irish and directly translating to “safe with you”) is an installation confronting grief, loss, and the complex experiences of those forced to say goodbye.
The original project began as a woodblock print and has moved through a layered process; photographs taken of the print were animated, projected, photographed again, digitally printed, plexiglass monotyped, and screenprinted.
