AICAD PALS (Partnership on Academic Leadership in Sustainability) Summit October 17-19

An amazing opportunity for Art and Design Educators interested in sustainability!

Art and Design Educators play a critical role in helping to transform society, and ready future professionals to find solutions for some of the most difficult problems facing us today.

October 18, 19, 20, 2024, The Partnership on Academic Leadership in Sustainability (PALS) will be offering their national educators summit to help educators and their students take on the challenges surrounding global climate change, environmental and social justice, and other key sustainability issues. New for this year, PALS will be running three concurrent in-person nodes as well as an online node. The Upper Midwest node is being hosted by Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) in Minneapolis, with other in-person nodes hosted by Pratt Institute in New York, and Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. There is an online node as well for those who prefer not to travel.

PALS Summits are not just the usual conference format with speakers and workshops, but the opportunity to roll up one’s sleeves and dig in with like-minded colleagues, resulting in actionable plans participants can bring back to their home campuses.

Of special interest for MCAD Art and Design faculty, funds have been secured to fully or partially cover the registration fee to participate in the MCAD in-person node.
