AXA Art Prize US 2025

Submissions Now open for the AXA Art Prize US 2025! With a jury of renowned artists and curators and an exhibition of the finalists in New York, the AXA Art Prize is one of the nation's premier student art competitions.

The AXA Art Prize is open to figurative paintings, drawings and printmaking created by undergraduate and graduate art students. It carries a First Prize of $10,000 and a Second Prize of $5,000. Previous juries have included curators from the Brooklyn Museum, Crystal Bridges Museum, Gagosian Gallery, the Hammer Museum, ICA Boston, LACMA, the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Museum of Modern Art, the National Gallery of Art, the New Museum, the Noguchi Museum, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the UCCA Center for Contemporary Art, and the Whitney Museum.

The First and Second Prize winners are determined by a jury panel of prominent figurative artists. Previous Prize Jurors have included Bo Bartlett, Huma Bhabha, Sanford Biggers, Julia Chiang, Will Cotton, John Currin, Jules de Balincourt, Nicole Eisenman, Rachel Feinstein, Eric Fischl, Jenna Gribbon, Damian Loeb, Arcmanoro Niles, Erik Parker, Nicolas Party, Elizabeth Peyton, Rob Pruitt, Calida Rawles, Peter Saul, Tschabalala Self, Amy Sherald, Laurie Simmons, Salman Toor, Mickalene Thomas, and Robin F. Williams.
