On 6/14/25 at 2:10 a.m., in reviewing camera footage, MCAD Campus Safety found that two unknown individuals were able to gain entrance to the main north exterior of the Hive, but were not able to gain any further entry into the building at that time.
On 06/16/25 at 4:40 a.m., MCAD Campus Safety observed four individuals on camera, appearing to be two males and two females, force open the main doors of the Hive (113 26th St E). While in the building, one of the males stole an unlocked bicycle out of the Hive garage, but it was recovered almost immediately outside of the building by Campus Safety. The females took at least seven packages and exited the building heading west on 26th St. E. Minneapolis Police were notified of the incident immediately and responded to the scene and are investigating.
Descriptions of the parties involved:
Person #1: dark skinned male, thin to medium build, about 5'10" tall wearing a red Ed Hardy hoodie with lettering/designs on both front and back, tan baseball cap, yellow/red/green/navy blue board shorts, white socks and red tennis shoes with black accents
Person #2: dark skinned male, thin to medium build, dark hair, about 5'10" tall wearing a red hoodie with white logo on left upper chest, black sweat pants, black socks and red slides
Person #3: dark skinned female, medium build, short black hair, about 5'4" tall wearing a brown patterned crop top, black pants and white tennis shoes.
Person #4: light skinned female, medium build, glasses, brown shoulder-length curly hair, butterfly tattoo on left bicep, gold watch/bracelet on left wrist, carrying a taupe bag with white straps, and wearing a short orange wrap dress/jumper, and white tennis shoes.
