Good morning!

We are experiencing some wireless network performance issues this morning after changes made earlier.

We are working as fast as we can to determine, and resolve the issue.  Right now, it appears that we are passing only about half the amount of traffic we expect to, and that is what is presenting the impact to the wireless network.

We realize the sensitivities and needs here and are working to restore full service as soon as possible.

MCAD Campus Safety was made aware of reports of possible gunfire in the area of 2nd Avenue South and Stevens Avenue, south of 26th St. E, at approximately 1:30 a.m. this morning.

Campus Safety officers responded to the area to assess the situation. A sheriff's deputy advised our officers that an individual had been detained and that there was no longer an active threat.

Law enforcement remained in the area following the incident for investigative purposes. There were no reports of injuries to members of the MCAD community.
