MCAD Campus Safety was made aware of reports of possible gunfire in the area of 2nd Avenue South and Stevens Avenue, south of 26th St. E, at approximately 1:30 a.m. this morning.

Campus Safety officers responded to the area to assess the situation. A sheriff's deputy advised our officers that an individual had been detained and that there was no longer an active threat.

Law enforcement remained in the area following the incident for investigative purposes. There were no reports of injuries to members of the MCAD community.

Hello, MCAD Students,

We are just a few weeks out from the general election. Whether it's local, state, or national, each election presents a chance to shape the future of our society. This fall, your ballot will have lots of races, from Governor, U.S. Senator, and U.S. House member to state legislators to school board races and other local offices, and a state constitutional amendment. This email will give you the information you need to be confident, comfortable, and successful.

Registration for ALL First-Year (29 credits or less) and Undeclared Students is November 11, at 9:00 a.m.! Be prepared and attend Group Advising.
