Fall Semester 2025 Add/Drop: August 25 - August 29

Welcome to Fall Semester 2025!

This is a reminder that Add/Drop Week for Fall Semester 2025 begins on Monday, August 25 at 9:00 a.m. and will end on Friday, August 29 at 11:59 p.m.

Students may add and drop courses during Add/Drop Week using an Add/Drop Courses Form, which is located on the Registration tab of myMCAD.

If you are planning to add and/or drop Fall 2025 courses, submit your Add/Drop Courses Form as soon as possible starting on Monday, August 25, and no later than 11:59 p.m. on Friday, August 29.

Verbal permission from a faculty member, department chair, or program director is not sufficient to have a course added to your schedule.  You must fill out an Add/Drop Courses Form to change your registration.

No permission is necessary to drop courses with no record during Add/Drop Week.  If you are reducing credits as a result of a drop, Financial Aid will review your Add/Drop Courses Form to ensure that any financial aid awards on your account will remain stable.

No course adds will be permitted after August 29.  Any course drops after August 29 will count as withdrawals and will remain on your transcript with a grade notation of W.

More information and instructions regarding Add/Drop are available on the Records Office page on the Intranet.

Tips for a successful Add/Drop submission:
  • Try starting a new session in myMCAD, ensuring that you log all the way out and log back in before beginning the form.
  • Do not double-click items or use the Back button.  Be patient and allow the form to load fully before proceeding.
  • Be aware that the form travels through an approval workflow before it arrives in Records, so any changes to your schedule will not be instantaneous.  Please be patient and allow staff the time to review and process your form.  Changes will be visible on your course schedule in myMCAD once everything is complete.

If you have any questions about how to use the Add/Drop Process, contact our office at records@mcad.edu.

Thank you!
