FERPA is a federal law requiring educational instituions to protect the privacy of student education records.

The U.S. Department of Education also publishes information at studentprivacy.ed.gov defining FERPA and offering additional guidance for postsecondary students.

This is a reminder that Add/Drop Week for Spring Semester 2025 begins on Tuesday, January 21 at 9:00 a.m. and will end on Monday, January 27 at 11:59 p.m.

Students may add and drop courses during Add/Drop Week using an Add/Drop Courses Form, which is located on the Registration tab of myMCAD.

If you are planning to add and/or drop Spring 2025 courses, submit your Add/Drop Courses Form as soon as possible starting on January 21, and no later than 11:59 p.m. on Monday, January 27.

Effective January 1, 2025, the minimum wage increased to $15.97 across the City of Minneapolis. Employees who are affected will see this increase on the January 17, 2025 paycheck.

The balance information reflected includes all certified financial aid, housing, and meal charges (if applicable), and enrollment information as of today's date for the spring 2025 semester. Note: students who are currently enrolled in the fall 2024 monthly installment agreement (MAXPlan) will not see their spring tuition information reflected in MAXPay until they have completed their fall MAXPlan agreement.
