Job Title: Graphic Design Intern

Opportunity Summary: Calling all creatives! We’re on the lookout for a Graphic Design Intern who’s ready to bring fresh ideas, bold visuals, and a curious mind for UX/UI to the table. You’ll work side-by-side with our Senior Creative Designer to create everything from scroll-stopping graphics to sleek website layouts. This is a part-time role (up to 20 hours per week), perfect for students or early-career designers who want to sharpen their skills while working on real projects that make a difference.

What you’ll do:

  • Design fun, eye-catching graphics for social media, product launches, and omnichannel marketing assets.

  • Help shape user-friendly digital experiences by contributing to wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.

  • Support website updates and visuals that make shopping and browsing simple, beautiful, and easy.

  • Collaborate with the Senior Creative Designer on brainstorming sessions and creative reviews.

Job Title: Visual Design Intern

We’re Looking For A: Visual Design Intern to support the visual design team by assisting with a wide range of creative work—including packaging, print, and web design—primarily by adapting templates, following brand guidelines, and preparing production-ready files. They focus on accurate execution, organizing and exporting assets, and maintaining design consistency across multiple brands, while developing foundational skills through close collaboration and feedback. An ideal candidate is detail-oriented, responsive to direction, and comfortable working across a variety of established brand guidelines. They need to be proactive and eager to grow, with a strong desire to learn and contribute to a collaborative, fast-paced, creative team.

Job Title: Internship with Minnesota Live and Twin Cities Live

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in studio during Twin Cities Live and/or Minnesota Live. Two lifestyle shows airing live weekends on Channel 5. Running errands for the producers and promotions manager

  • Execute social media campaigns for station brands as directed by the promotions manager

  • Assist in developing content calendars on a weekly and monthly basis for station brands and initiatives

  • Monitor analytics to identify viable ideas.

  • Create engaging social media content.

  • Assist producers and promotions with various tasks

  • Opportunities to assist on field shoots and live shots

  • Opportunities to shadow producers and photographers

  • May be asked to assist with promotional show events outside of the building

Must be available weekdays between 8:30am-Noon and/or 1pm-5pm. (not 5 days a week, schedule is flexible)

Job Title: Traveling Exhibits Props and Costumes Intern

Organization Name: Minnesota Children's Museum

Wage/Salary: $16/hr

Opportunity Summary: The Traveling Exhibits Props and Costume Intern assists the traveling exhibit team in constructing, maintaining, cleaning, and repairing the many costumes and props used by children in our traveling exhibit portfolio. Each of our traveling exhibits includes costumes for dramatic play, as well as thousands of props that need repair and maintenance. Intern duties include, but are not limited to, building replacement props, small hand sewing repairs, and other prop maintenance tasks. Projects vary depending on the project workflow for our department, but examples of past projects include producing large numbers of backup duplicates of costumes as well as cutting, sanding, and finishing wooden pieces for games and activities in our many traveling exhibits. Specific assignments will vary based on the intern’s skill and experience level. This “behind-the-scenes” position rarely, but occasionally, interacts with our visitors directly.

Requires 120 hours during the internship session (Oct. 2025 - Jan. 2026; 10-12 hours per week). All hours will be completed on-site.
