Job Title: Internship/Co-op, Communications

The McGough Internship Program offers a well-rounded, real-world marketing and communications experience. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, and build a portfolio of content across multiple channels. This is not a “sit on the sidelines” internship. You’ll be in the field, behind the camera, at events, and in the middle of the action.

What You’ll Do:

  • Creating content for multiple platforms, including social media posts, Reels, Stories, email campaigns, internal communications, and marketing materials

  • Writing and editing copy tailored to different audiences and channels

  • Capturing photos and video at jobsites, events, and office settings

  • Assisting with multimedia content from concept through final production

  • Posting and scheduling content across social platforms while maintaining brand consistency

  • Supporting events and company initiatives through planning, coordination, and on-site assistance

  • Staying current on social media trends, digital best practices, and emerging content formats

  • Collaborating with HR, Business Development, and project teams to align messaging and storytelling

  • Monitoring campaign performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement

Job Title: Marketing Intern, Commercial Division - The Toro Company

With over 11,000 employees worldwide, TTC is headquartered in Bloomington, Minnesota, USA. Our company designs and manufactures turf maintenance equipment; turf irrigation systems; landscape and lighting products; snow and ice management solutions; agricultural irrigation systems; rental, specialty and underground construction equipment; and residential turf and snow equipment. We market and sell TTC products worldwide through a network of distributors, dealers, mass retailers, hardware retailers, equipment rental center and home centers—as well as online direct to end users.

The Commercial marketing team serves to effectively market products designed and manufactured to meet the needs of professional turf managers such as; golf course superintendents, professional sports grounds crews and municipal parks grounds managers. This includes but is not limited to market and sales analysis, event management, and media planning (print, digital, and social media). Additionally, we operate as marketing support for our nationwide distributor network. 

What Will You Do?

  • Assisting with ongoing marketing initiatives including product launch efforts and media campaigns. 

  • Participating in product photo and video shoots including collaborating with our media production team, helping to procure and manage talent, and coordinating logistics of the shoots.  

  • Analyzing market and sales data identify growth opportunities.

  • Support customer event at The Toro Company headquarters and/or local event venues/stadiums.

  • Execute media plan elements that help customers learn about our commercial product line.

  • Work cross-divisionally to support new product development 

What Do You Need?

  • Completed your junior year of college with an average GPA of 3.0 or higher.

  • In pursuit of a degree in marketing or a related field (advertising, PR, graphic design, or business.)

  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Have working knowledge of the Microsoft365 suite of products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 

  • Experience with graphic design is preferred.

  • Be team-oriented, an enthusiastic self-starter, curious about the world around you, and passionate about creating impactful marketing.

What You Do:

  • Prepare and produce graphic designs, concepts, and layouts for a range of applications including packaging, print, shopper, social and web to help build the Sargento brand

  • Cover a range of design needs for multiple channels including, but not limited to, consumer or customer facing selling materials, social media, e-Commerce, Shopper marketing, email, video production webpages, internal communications, packaging and others

  • Participate in ideation, concept development and monthly digital content video shoots

  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to create recommendations and seek feedback to improve overall concepts and processes.

 Your Education and Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, multi-media, or another related field having completed junior year prior to the start of the internship

  • Office and media software familiarity with the below:

  • Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro DC

  • Video editing software- Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects

  • Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Word, Excel

  • Great eye for detail, demonstrate creative and innovative problem solving

  • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)  

  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and vehicle required. There is no mass/public transit system to/from corporate housing location to company locations.

REMOTE POSITION

Opportunity Summary: Barrel is seeking a Design Intern to join our team for a 3–6 month paid internship. This is a remote internship. Applicants based in the U.S. and Canada are preferred due to time zone alignment and communication logistics, but we welcome applications from all eligible candidates. As a Design Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work within an existing design system, contribute fresh ideas, and gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Barrel partners with CPG brands to elevate their online presence and drive growth through e-commerce, website optimization, email, SEO, and content strategy. As a globally distributed team, we are united by a mission to help clients succeed through thoughtful, customer-centric solutions. Our goal is to create experiences that resonate, add value, and build lasting connections with their communities.

Qualifications:

  • Recent graduate or currently enrolled as a Junior/Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Design, Graphic Design, Advertising, or a related field

  • Previous design internship experience within an agency is a plus

  • Strong understanding of layout, color, typography, and web design principles

  • Proficiency in Mac OS, Adobe Suite, Figma, Google Suite, Zoom, and Slack

  • Familiarity with Canva and internal tools such as Asana, Harvest, and Pitch

  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is preferred but not required

What We're Looking For:

  • Enthusiastic and adaptable, willing to contribute at any stage of a project

  • Proactive in seeking answers, conducting independent research, and learning new design techniques

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities

  • Ability to confidently express ideas while also being receptive to feedback

  • Interest in eCommerce/Retail is a plus
