Online Entry Form Opens February 16, Artists’ Book Drop Off Opens February 23 at MCAD Library Circulation Desk.
Eligibility:
Any currently enro lled degree-seeking student is eligible to enter.
Prize Information:
One First Prize will be awarded $250; Two Honorable Mentions will be awarded $100 each. Winners will be included in an exhibition in MCAD Library Gallery, April 22 - May 12, and will be considered for accession into MCAD Library’s Artist Book Collection. Students are not required to sell their book to win.
Competition Entry:
One online entry form, a physical copy of an artists' book, and permission form are required. Maximum of 2 entries per studen t allowed.
The online entry form asks for student information, and details about the artists' book(s) including title, detailed medium description, and a brief artists’ statement (up to 250 words). Once the entry form is submitted, artists' books can be dropped off at the MCAD Library Circulation Desk between Monday, February 23 and Monday, March 2. Permission form to be completed at drop off.
Selection Process: Entries will be evaluated on design, integration of form and content, craft, and overall impact of the work.
