RESIDENCY OPPORTUNITY
Residency Title: Salzburg Exchange Residency for MN Visual Artists
Location: Salzburg, Austria
Organization: The Anderson Center at Tower View
About: The Künstlerhaus (artist house) building in Salzburg, Austria, is a well-known arts and exhibition center that provides live-in studios for local artists as well as a studio for an artist-in-residence. It is a five-minute walk from Salzburg’s historic center. The building also hosts a café/restaurant. The Künstlerhaus is managed by the Salzburger Kunstverein (Salzburg artist’s association).
The Stadt: Atelier live-in studio at the Künstlerhaus building consists of one furnished combined living and working room on two floors (equipped with kitchenette, lounge, and bathroom) of about 70 m². The accommodation offers enough space for 2 persons as it is equipped with two sofa beds. Sheets, towels, dishcloths, and cooking and cleaning supplies are provided. The studio also has wi-fi connectivity.
Travel expenses to Salzburg and back to Minnesota are not covered. A €600 stipend for food is provided.
Duration: July 1 – 29, 2024.

FULL-TIME REMOTE INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Position Title: Graphic Design Intern
Organization: Lumen Computer Networking
Pay: $22-35/hr
Schedule: 20-25 hours per week.
About: Lumen offers a fully immersive, 10-week summer internship program. Our interns demonstrate curiosity, innovation, and a passion for advancing technology. We believe that empowering our people and helping them reach their full potential is essential for the long-term success of both Lumen and our customers.
Lumen’s Brand and Creative team are hiring two design focused interns for our summer program to support graphic and web design projects.
Responsibilities:
Design beautiful, engaging and effective material, including advertising and marketing campaigns, event collateral, web pages and more
Adhere to our brand and design standards; maintain company-wide consistency
Conceptualize and offer creative solutions for innovating, improving and optimizing our output, and help separate us from our competition
Experience designing for digital/online and print
Collaborate with a cross-functional, distributed teams that includes UX designers, Art Directors, copywriters, video editors, developers, project and campaign managers
Stay current with latest standards, changes, and trends in visual and web design fields
Actively participate in design team meetings, critiques, and guilds
Include feedback from previous campaigns when designing new solutions for maximum impact and success
Design responsive, accessible, and effective web pages
Program dates: May 30 – August 8, 2025
