SUMMER INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

 

Organization: Five Wings Art Council

Title: Paid Marketing & Communications Intern

Overview: We are seeking a motivated and creative Marketing & Communications Intern to support our nonprofit’s outreach efforts during the summer of 2025. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing strategy, social media management, and community engagement while making a meaningful impact.

Organization: Stages Theater Company

Title: Emerging BIPOC Designers Internship

Overview: Stages Theatre Company’s Emerging BIPOC Designers Mentorship is specifically developed for young BIPOC artists (ages 15-19) who are drawn to a career in theatrical design (costuming, sets, props, sound, lighting, or multimedia design), giving you an opportunity to work in mentorship with a professional designer.

Throughout this program, you will work with your mentor as they develop their design for an actual production, giving you real world experience in the theatrical arts.

This mentorship, along with the other training provided by the program will serve as an early step into a design career for you. Completion of this mentorship will come with a PAID stipend of $400.

Title: Spring/Summer 2025 Internship

Organization: Gammelgården Museum

Overview: Each Spring/Summer intern gains skills in managing a small museum. The individuals chosen for the role are on site during the open season as a staff person able to be helpful in any role/position.

 

Gammelgården values diversity and seeks talented interns from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. This includes, but is not limited to, those who are the first generation in their family to attend college, who come from low-income backgrounds, and/or have had limited access to museum experiences.

ONGOING PART-TIME OPPORTUNITIES

 

Organization: Studio Moss

Title: Artist/Fabricator

Overview: Studios Moss is looking for a part-time artist with flexible hours.  Some weekends and evenings are required. We are looking for an artist who feels comfortable using power tools, can work in 3D and 2D.  You could be building a wood structure one day and making paper flowers the next. Someone who has great attention to detail and likes a variety of work! We fabricate in our shop in St Paul, but install all over the Twin Cities.

Organization: Boulder Designs by Northstar Custom Rocks

Title: Product Production and Creation Technician

Overview: Supports the creation of various Boulder Designs by Northstar Custom Rocks products while ensuring high quality and timely creations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Create various products we offer using the Boulder Designs proprietary process

  • Mix materials following our method to create various products

  • Shape and carve Boulder Designs products to match customer specifications

  • Paint and seal products to create the desired finished product

  • Clean tools and work area to ensure a tidy shop

SUMMER TEACHING ARTIST OPPORTUNITIES

 

Organization: East Side Arts Council 

Title: Teaching Artist, Summer

Overview: The East Side Arts Council is hiring teaching artists for our summer programs! We are looking for visual artists to teach upcoming youth art classes in partnership with St. Paul Parks & Recreation. Artists will work with St. Paul's Summer Rec Check program, a free afternoon program for youth who will be entering grades 1-6 in the fall.

 

Classes will run from 1-3pm in June, July and August, and will pay $35/hour for instructors. Instructors will teach sets of 4 classes at various recreation centers across the East Side of St. Paul.

Title: Teaching Artist, Artmobile

Overview: The Artmobile program is East Side Arts Council’s most popular summer program. Each summer the Artmobile, a van packed with art supplies, winds through the streets of the East Side of St. Paul to offer free, drop in art classes at a variety of locations across the community. Each week, a new guest artist brings a creative project to life.

Title: Career Development and the Learning Center: Career Readiness Workshop Sessions

Organization: MCAD Career Development

Overview: Stressed about entering the workforce after graduation? Worried that your post-graduation job search won’t be effective? Concerned about how to navigate the professional sphere and succeed in the workplace?

 

This Spring semester, Career Development is partnering with the Learning Center to offer additional assistance and guidance on these topics and more to any interested students (from First Year to Senior) in a casual, conversational setting! Sign up for these small-group sessions, bring a lunch or a snack, and increase your understanding of professionalism and career paths with Career Development!
