ONGOING PART-TIME OPPORTUNITIES

 

Organization: PUBLIC ART SAINT PAUL & eARTh Lab

Title: Teaching Artist for eARTh Lab Summer 2025 Workshops

Pay:  $500 per workshop, with up to $100-materials allowance per workshop.

Dates: Every Tuesday from June 17th to August 5th, with August 11th saved for a rain date.

Overview: Upon being selected, Teaching Artists will meet with eARTh Lab’s Lead, to review and develop their activity plans, to ensure they meet program expectations. Thereafter, selected Teaching Artists meet with the Lead and Public Art Saint Paul staff the week before their activity, to discuss it and address related questions or concerns. At the latter meeting, we plan for site layouts. Selected Teaching Artists are expected to arrange for transportation to/from Western Sculpture Park, for themselves and their materials.

Organization: COMPAS

Title: COMPAS Teaching Artist

Overview: Artists selected to join the roster join a community of other teaching artists and have access to benefits such as admin support, insurance, professional development, and more.

 

While this is an open call for all artists, we currently have a special need for the following:

 

  • Digital artists (digital art/illustration, graphic design, animation, etc.)

  • Electronic Media (photography, video, animation, etc.)

  • Visual artists

  • Literary artists

  • Spoken Word artists

  • Artists interested in K-12 classroom settings and out of school programs for youth

  • Artists interested and experienced working with people with disabilities

  • Artists interested and experienced working with older adults living in assisted living and/or memory care

SUMMER INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

 

Organization: Tangerine Press – Scholastic Book Fairs

Title: Remote Summer Internship

Pay: $18 per hour

Overview: Scholastic Book Fairs is seeking a Summer Intern to join the Tangerine Press Art Department! We’ll provide an opportunity to learn about the publishing industry and give one individual a peek at what goes into working for Scholastic Book Fairs! A design intern working with Tangerine Press will work closely with the art director and seasoned design team, and will gain professional experience working in a specialty art department that creates books, stationery, and school supplies!

Title: Intern, Design & Editorial (Picture Books)

Pay: $18 per hour

Overview: Scholastic Inc. is looking for 15 interns to join us this summer

 

The Summer Internship Program will give students an opportunity to gain experience in a variety of Scholastic businesses, with a focus on Picture Book Design and Editorial. As a Scholastic Intern you will learn from the best minds in the industry and contribute to the success of an industry leader. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic group in an organization dedicated to the education of children.

Organization: Medica

Title: Graphic Design Intern

Overview: Medica is a non-profit health insurance company headquartered in Minnetonka with offices in Madison and Omaha. The company is active across the heart of America and provides health care coverage in multiple markets. Medica is engaged in our communities through the charitable grant-making work of the Medica Foundation and through active employee giving and volunteer programs.

Medica will host a 12-week, paid Internship Program. Interns will have the opportunity to network within Medica and with other Interns through weekly Lunch-and-Learns and opportunities to hear from Executives. We strive to offer a well-rounded education of the inner workings of a health plan. Each internship offers a meaningful experience and impactful projects you will be able to discuss with future employers. At Medica, we look forward to our Summer Internship Program each year

Title: Career Development and the Learning Center: Career Readiness Workshop Sessions

Organization: MCAD Career Development

Overview: Stressed about entering the workforce after graduation? Worried that your post-graduation job search won’t be effective? Concerned about how to navigate the professional sphere and succeed in the workplace?

 

This Spring semester, Career Development is partnering with the Learning Center to offer additional assistance and guidance on these topics and more to any interested students (from First Year to Senior) in a casual, conversational setting! Sign up for these small-group sessions, bring a lunch or a snack, and increase your understanding of professionalism and career paths with Career Development!
