Sophomores! Want to study abroad in Spring '27?

Applications are open and due April 10

Hello Sophomores!

Are you interested in studying abroad in spring '27? Off-campus study gives you an opportunity to explore your interests outside your major, gain independence and personal growth, and have an adventure away from MCAD! The Off-Campus Study Committee is currently accepting applications for the following off-campus programs:

  • Austria

  • England

  • Germany

  • Ireland

  • Italy

  • Netherlands

  • Japan (only for students proficient in Japanese)

Requirements:

  • You need a 3.0 cumulative GPA to apply.

  • You need to be at 60 credits (junior standing) by spring '27. You can apply if you're going to be a first OR second-semester junior in the spring. Seniors are not eligible.

  • You'll earn 15 studio elective credits, so make sure you have the room in your degree audit!

  • You must have a passport valid through August 2027, or proof of passport application.

     Details:
  • There are no additional tuition costs- you will remain enrolled at MCAD and can use your financial aid & scholarships as if you were on-campus.

  • Don't worry about which majors can go to which programs. You're going to earn elective credits, so this is your chance to try something new!

  • Check out ourOff-Campus INSTAGRAM account to see photos and videos from each program!

  • Interviews with the Off Campus Committee will be held in mid to late April.

Application form, instructions, FAQs, and letter of recommendation forms (you will need 2) can be found on the Off-Campus Study Intranet page. Completed Google folders are due to akurialamillo@mcad.edu by Friday, April 10th at 5:00pm.

Have questions or need more information?? Email akurialamillo@mcad.edu to set up a meeting with Alicia Kuri Alamillo in Student Affairs.
