Did you know that Minneapolis Institute of Art(Mia) and the Walker Art Center host a variety of events for children and families? This week we want to highlight a few opportunities for our students with families such as:
Mini Mia:
This free program occ urs on the first Wednesday of each month at 10:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. and the first Friday of each month at 10:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m and is designed for caregivers and little ones (ages 0–5). Mini Mia features a gallery tour for the littlest art enthusiasts, a movement class with Young Dance, and a cozy story time.
Art Play:
A free opportunity for all ages to experiment and play with a new art medium on the first and third Saturday of each month. This Saturday Sept. 6th, explore watercolor!
Walker Art Center: Free First Saturday: Fantastical Creatures:

Frolic and explore the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden alongside many fantastical creatures. Make, watch, and delight in art as larger-than-life puppets come out to play this Free First Saturday! All Ages!
