Network Change - 7 a.m., Monday, Oct 5

In efforts to continue to improve upon network transport - 
 
  • We are planning on making an addition to the configuration to allow for more throughput from the wireless network to our core network.
  • This change, while temporarily disruptive, should improve access and performance during our heavier traffic periods.
  • We are performing this in the morning, instead on a weekend so that we can be on site, and continuously monitor throughout the day and can revert if there are any issues.

SAFETY BULLETIN: Law Enforcement Activity Near Campus

MCAD Campus Safety was made aware of reports of possible gunfire in the area of 2nd Avenue South and Stevens Avenue, south of 26th St. E, at approximately 1:30 a.m. this morning.

Campus Safety officers responded to the area to assess the situation. A sheriff's deputy advised our officers that an individual had been detained and that there was no longer an active threat.

Law enforcement remained in the area following the incident for investigative purposes. There were no reports of injuries to members of the MCAD community.
