Welcome Michelle Brost as Assistant Professor of Media Arts

Dear MCAD Community,

Please join me in welcoming Michelle Brost as Assistant Professor of Media Arts. She will begin her new role on August 17, 2026.

Michelle Brost is an award-winning animation artist and filmmaker. She graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2012 with a BFA in Animation. Her work focuses on short animation film production, and her films have screened at national and international film festivals. In 2014, she received a Jerome Foundation Film, Video and Digital Production Grant for Animal (2020). Her commissioned projects include work for organizations such as Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness, the National Park Service, and Minnesota Prison Writing Workshop. She has served on animation grant review panels and film festival juries, and currently divides her time between animation education and her artistic practice.
