Voting at MCAD | August 13

Good morning, MCAD Community,

Primary Election at MCAD

On Tuesday, August 13, MCAD will serve as the polling place for Ward 10-Precinct 9’s primary election, starting at 7:00 a.m. and running until the work of the election judges is completed (usually by 10:00 p.m.). Polling will take place in the College Center.

Because MCAD is a polling place, please do not wear T-shirts, hats, buttons, etc. that endorse a specific candidate or political party. We also ask that everyone be mindful of noise in the College Center to avoid any distractions to voters and election judges.

Please note traffic around campus and the parking lots may be busier than usual, so plan for extra travel time if you will be on campus.

Voting on Primary Election Day

On Election Day, you need to vote at your assigned polling place based on the precinct where you live. You can vote at MCAD only if you live within Minneapolis Ward 10, Precinct 9. All polling places are open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Use the Polling Place Finder to find your polling place.

Primary Election Day Registration

Use the Voter Registration Lookup to determine if you are registered under your current name and address.

In Minnesota, you can register at your polling place on Election Day. This includes registering when you go to vote if you are voting early. The list of documents voters can show as proof of residence has been expanded.

For more information visit MCAD’s voting webpage.

Best,
Nick
