Dear MCAD Staff, Faculty, and Students,
Following the President Sethi’s email, we write to confirm the news that President Sanjit Sethi’s tenure will end in July 2025 and will step down from his role as college president at that time. A nationwide search for a new president will commence shortly, chaired by Board members Chris Barry and Greg Hoffman ‘92.
MCAD is deeply appreciative of President Sethi’s leadership that began in 2019. His many contributions include navigating through the challenges of the COVID pandemic, keeping the college safe during the civil unrest in our city after the murder of George Floyd, developing a master plan for the future of the college, acquiring new student housing on campus, and advocating for greater access to an art-and-design education.
With MCAD’s talented faculty, staff, students, and alumni, the college will continue to be an engine of creativity and impact in the Twin Cities and beyond. We're poised to offer transformative education open to all, now and into the future.
