Job Title: TV Entertainment Digital & Design Internships – Summer 2025

Opportunity Summary: The Entertainment Group develops and schedules the network’s primetime, late-night, and daytime entertainment programming, including USA, SYFY, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, and Universal Kids. Job Title: Museum Education Assistant Internship

Organization Name: State of Iowa - State Historical Society of Iowa

Wage/Salary: $16/hr 

Opportunity Summary: Seeking students pursuing a degree in history, education, or a related field of study in museum studies or the humanities that have an interest in education and museums, to assist the State Historical Museum of Iowa museum education team with educational programming and developing public programs. Must conduct oneself in a mature/professional manner and be able to work accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision. Ability to lift 40 lbs., and use step ladders. 

Duties and Essential Activities:
  • Intern will work a hybrid schedule, and will be required to travel to the State Historical Museum of Iowa on selected dates to help with programming in-person.
  • Assist with in-person programming including seasonal programming for all ages of learners.
  • Help create and develop educational programs and events for a variety of different audiences.
  • Brainstorms new and creative ways to reach consumers through video projects, design concepts, and innovated marketing practices.
  • Part of the marketing street team to engage with guests at a grassroots level.
  • Maintains positive relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Participates in workplace safety training sessions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Title: Intern - UX Design - Plymouth, MN - Summer 2025

Organization Name: Philips

Wage/Salary: $25-28/hr

Opportunity Summary: As a UX Design Intern working with our Image Guided Therapy Devices division, you will support UX Designers to design user experience for clinical software: translating business requirements and user needs into interaction frameworks, concepts, scenarios, workflows, and wireframes. You will conduct desktop research, create user interface concepts, mockups, prototypes, and documentation with the product teams. You are part of a team of designers, researchers, engineers, product managers and strategists. You will seek to discover people’s needs, advocate for them, and ensure that the final product meets our target audience’s needs and Philips' brand requirements.

Areas of Work:

Conceptual: Conduct and lead analysis of user and stakeholder needs. Create frameworks and interaction concepts across domains. Define role of product within a broader ecosystem. Establish design principles and guide teams with clarity and accuracy. Identify opportunities and constraints inherent in technology and platform decisions

Prototyping: Craft experiences, prototypes, and demos that together create a great experience in alignment with the Philips brand and design language. Create information architectures and workflows. Create functional designs for application screens (wireframes and prototypes).

Design: Use appropriate skills (sketching, prototyping and specification) to define and communicate interaction concepts to marketing, software development, and customers. Apply and define interface and interaction principles in conjunction with guidance from existing design language documentation. Define and apply usability principles specific to the contexts of use.

Job Title: Art Portfolio Intern

This internship offers a unique opportunity for undergraduate or graduate students interested in art history, curatorial work, or museum studies. The intern will gain hands-on experience conducting art historical research and organizing a small exhibition, working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Research: Conducting in-depth research on artists, artworks, and related topics, including historical, cultural, and theoretical contexts.
  • Exhibition Planning: Development of an art exhibition, from concept generation to installation.
  • Writing and Editing: Producing descriptive and explanatory texts, labels, and other written materials.
  • Educational Programming: Developing and delivering a capstone presentation at the end of the internship to present to Staff.
  • Collections Management: Assisting with the care and management of the Foundation's Art Collection.
