RFQ OPPORTUNITY

Project Title: Public Art for the Docking Building Reconstruction Project

Organization: State of Kansas (Topeka, KS)

Budget: $300,000

Project: Public Art for the Docking Office Building

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Eligibility: Open to all professional artists, designers, and architects

Budget: $300,000 per project

Submission Deadline: January 15, 2025

A shortlist of finalists will be selected from the RFQ to submit a full proposal and invited to present their proposal to jurors via the web the week of March 3, 2025. Presenting finalists will receive a $5000 honorarium. Artists will be selected from the pool of presenting finalists.

LEARNING OPPORTUNITY

Title: Intellectual Property Clinic

Organization: University of Minnesota Law School

Fee: none

Details: The IP Clinic provides members of the local community an opportunity to obtain legal assistance in matters involving intellectual property, such as copyrightable works, trademarks, patents, and confidentiality obligations. Legal assistance is provided by second- and third-year law school students under the supervision of a licensed attorney. There is no charge for participating in the IP Clinic, though clients are responsible for out-of-pocket costs (such as copyright registration and trademark application fees). The clinic will take place during the University’s Spring 2025 Semester, which runs from roughly mid-January through April. Certain limited opportunities may also be available during the Fall 2024 Semester.

The IP Clinic: 

Prioritizes opportunities that offer positive learning experiences for students.
Will not handle litigation, arbitration, or any other type of dispute.
Cannot guarantee that it will provide representation to an applicant.
