Opportunity Summary: Z-Man Games is looking for a passionate and creative student or recent graduate to join our Game Development team as a summer intern. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in board game design and development! As a Game Development Intern, you'll collaborate closely with our game designers, participate in playtests of upcoming Z-Man board games—both new and existing lines—and help refine gameplay by preparing and testing new iterations. Your contributions will help make our games more fun, balanced, and easy to learn. While your primary focus will be on Z-Man Games titles, you may also have opportunities to playtest games in development from other Asmodee studios, including Office Dog, Unexpected Games, and Fantasy Flight Games.
This is a part-time, onsite summer position at our Asmodee North America office in Roseville, MN.

- Analyze issues while playing and provide detailed verbal and written feedback on games played.
- Proofread game rules documents and game files.
- Participate in design and development meetings focused on discussing playtest feedback, reviewing game and rules text, analyzing issues in games we are working on, and updating game files to test new changes that can help make the games more fun, balanced, and easier to learn.
- Work with the studio’s game designers and graphic designers to assist in updating game prototypes as new versions are created (physical prototypes for in-office tests, digital versions for online testing, and print and play files shared with external playtesters).
- Communicate with external play testers to provide all necessary game files, collect feedback, and analyze the feedback to improve the balance, fun, and usability of the game’s design, rules, and content.
