Opportunity Summary: Job Description: The paid position ($15.57/hour) is 20–25 hours per week and involves fact checking; participating in research projects; managing our online events calendar; and writing and editing for Mpls.St.Paul Magazine, Mpls.St.Paul Home & Design, and mspmag.com. Interns finesse research and reporting/editing skills and get an inside look at the workings of a monthly publication and daily website and newsletter. We want our interns to leave the internship program with an understanding of both print and digital publishing platforms, which is crucial in today’s job market.
Start Dates: We typically offer two internship programs—winter/spring (January through June) and summer/fall (June through January). Note: We do not offer summer-only internships. The positions are hybrid, with at least one day in the office each week. You must be able to use your own cell phone and access to internet for the position. We will provide you with a laptop for the internship’s duration.
Requirements: Candidate must be pursuing or have graduated with an English/ journalism/communications major or minor, or have related experience. Eagerness, a willingness to learn, and an interest in magazines is a must. Experience at a student publication and/or other publications is preferred.
Deadline: The deadline for the summer/fall 2025 internship application is April 18, 2025. The deadline for winter/spring 2026 will be in mid-November. Please indicate which timeframe you wish to be considered for in your application.

Job Title: Design Internship – Summer 2025 (Part-Time)

Opportunity Summary: Design Interns have played an important role on the Apply Creative Team (a.ka. “The #Stickerteam”), with two of our wonderful Designers, Brenda & Luka, graduating from their Apply internships during college to full-time roles on our team. We’re seeking a part-time Design Intern (20-30 hours / week) to support the ins & outs of sticker-making, brand-building, and creative operations. The Design Internship will run for 12 weeks (tentatively 6/2/25 - 8/22/25). Successful Interns will be considered for a continued design internship with Apply during the Fall ‘25 Semester.
Our design team is distributed and has worked closely in this way for now 4+ years. The Design Intern will either work entirely remotely, or if NYC-based 1 day / week at our Brooklyn HQ in Dumbo. The Design Intern will observe general working hours (10-6pm EST), with the exact working schedule determined at the commencement of the summer.
