Interns will work in the office two days a week and remotely the rest of the time. Primary Responsibilities:
- Reading submissions and writing comprehensive reader’s reports
- Researching everything from comparable titles and covers in the market to current pop culture trends
- Preparing and submitting titles to the Cataloging-in-Publication and Library of Congress programs
- Updating information in our data systems and taking on various administrative tasks
- Attending editorial, production, and cover meetings

Job Title: A2 (Sound) Intern

Opportunity Summary: Children’s Theatre Company (CTC) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of A2 (Sound) Intern for a summer production in our flexible, 300-seat theatre space. This is a temporary, hourly position scheduled from July 29 through August 12, 2025. We are looking for a detail-oriented, enthusiastic individual with audio experience and a strong interest in sound design and technology. This is an excellent opportunity for those seeking to enhance their professional experience by working alongside CTC’s expert team of directors, designers, and union production crew. The A2 intern position will get deeply involved in all sound related aspects of a production including wireless microphone best practices, cable management, sound system setup, signal flow, and speaker rigging.

Job Title: Graphic Design Intern
Organization Name: Federal Reserve Board
Wage/Salary: $25-39/hr
Opportunity Summary: The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System’s (Board’s) Office of Inspector General conducts audits and evaluations of the Board and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB’s) programs and operations to assess and promote economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in these programs and operations while helping to prevent and detect fraud, waste, and abuse. The Graphic Design Intern will help audit and evaluation teams translate their data and information into powerful visuals and drive communication in both reports and other division messaging channels (website, social media, etc.). The Graphic Design Intern will also help design and publish content for a variety of other external products (special publications, outreach materials, etc.) and internal communications (digital signage, intranet products, etc.). In all work, the Graphic Design Intern will help ensure that designs follow and extend our branding guidelines.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- strong oral and written communication skills
- excellent visual stylistic sense (balance, tone, placement)
- infographics and data visualization skills, including the ability to translate complex data and technical text into informative, easy-to-understand visuals (graphics, charts, etc.) and infographics
- graphic design experience, in both digital and print media, and excellent software skills with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, etc.
- animation and web design skills a plus
- ability to work independently in a deadline-sensitive environment
Expected Hours: Maximum of 40 hours/week during summer; 16–20 hours/week during school year if an extension is granted.
Location: This internship is remote or in-person/hybrid in Washington, DC, depending on the candidate’s location.

Job Title: Youth Filmmaking Summer Camp Intern
Organization Name: FilmNorth
Wage/Salary: $7.25-10/hr
Opportunity Summary: Being an intern for a FilmNorth Summer camp is the perfect opportunity to put your experience and expertise into practice and assist youth with media projects while collaborating with a local, professional instructor in the field!
Summer camps run Monday – Friday weekly from June 23rd – August 22nd, 2025. Please note that each internship (e.g. directing or cinematography), is specific to each camp and lasts for one week only, rather than the entire summer. Please refer to the schedule below for dates and camp listings.
Compensation: Interns receive a $150 (half-day) or $300 (full-day) stipend per camp and FREE enrollment of one class or workshop.
Qualifications: Experience with video production (cameras, lighting, audio) and editing is preferred. Experience working with youth and collaborating with diverse individuals is also preferred. Graphic design or photography experience is helpful but not required.
