It is once again time for the Art Shanty Projects, an annual winter art and community event hosted on the frozen water of Bde Uman/Lake Harriet. Inspired by pop-up ice fishing villages, artists use the frozen lake to create whimsical, weird and joyful winter art experiences for grown adults and kids of all ages. Running Jan. 17th-Feb. 8th, the Art Shanty Project hosts live events each weekend from 10am-4pm. This weekend, enjoy Kite Fest Day, a brass band, a community square dance, and much more (Art Shanty Schedule of Events).
