Dear Students, Staff, and Faculty,
As mentioned in our previous email, this week’s classes are cancelled out of an abundance of caution, giving everyone space and time to process yesterday’s events. I am encouraged by our tight-knit community, and I know that we will get through this difficult period by lending an extra hand to anyone who needs it.
The purpose of this email is to provide detailed academic and operational plans for this week. Below is a summary of services by department that will have modified services. If a department is not listed below, it will operate under its regularly posted hours available on the intranet, but may have reduced staffing. More updates will be shared as they become available.
Please note: Student workers should contact their supervisors to determine their schedule for this week.
Academic Affairs
AA Administration: Fully remote.
Career Development: Fully remote. Faculty and students may make virtual appointments.
Continuing Education: Fully remote.
ESS: Check-out hours from 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. each day, with limited assistance.
Gallery: Closed to the public.
Library: Open 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. with at least one staff member on site.
Media Center: Open 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; equipment checkouts may be delayed due to short staffing. Studio spaces and equipment will be available for checkout.
Print/Paper Studio: Open 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. each day.
Service Bureau: Open 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. each day. Outside of those hours, email service_bureau@mcad.edu.
Teaching and Learning Excellence: Fully remote, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. each day. For requests, reach out to tale@mcad.edu.
3D Shop: Open from 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. with all services available.
Enrollment Management
Admissions: Fully remote. No campus visitors during this week. Virtual appointments can be made via Calendly links on .edu.
Financial Aid: Fully remote; available by virtual appointments via Calendly or email.
External Relations
Art Cellar: Regular hours; not open to the public.
CMS/DesignWorks: Fully remote.
Development: Fully remote.
Human Resources
HR: Fully remote; available by appointment.
Student Affairs
SA Administration: Regular hours on campus.
Counseling & Wellness: Regular hours on campus.
Learning Center: Regular hours on campus.
Records: Partially remote (office hours to be determined).
