Wage/Salary: $20-25/hr

Opportunity Summary: Funko is a pop culture lifestyle brand on a mission to make fans smile. From iconic collectibles to unexpected collaborations, we bring fandom to life through products that feel fresh, fun, and unmistakably Funko.

Funko is looking for a Sculpting Intern to support our Collectibles team in bringing characters to life in 3D. This internship is designed for an emerging sculptor who’s excited to learn real-world collectible development—from early sculpts and refinements to production-ready outputs—while collaborating with cross-functional partners like Product Development, Creative, and Production.

In addition to interning as a Sculptor, this role will have the opportunity to shadow on the Rendering side, gaining exposure to how sculpts are presented, visualized, and communicated through high-quality renders for reviews and approvals.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist the Sculpting team with 3D character sculpting for Funko collectibles, based on style guides, reference, and creative direction.

  • Support sculpt revisions and refinements based on internal feedback and licensor notes.

  • Help prepare files for downstream workflows by maintaining clean organization, naming conventions, and version control.

  • Create or update supporting elements (accessories, bases, simple props) to match character and brand styling.

  • Participate in reviews and team critiques; incorporate feedback thoughtfully and efficiently.

  • Collaborate with partners across Product Development, Licensing, and Production to support timelines and requirements.

  • Rendering Shadowing (Learning Opportunity)

  • Shadow rendering workflows used to present 3D sculpts for approvals and internal presentations.

  • Learn how lighting, materials, and camera angles help communicate form, detail, and product intent.

  • Support basic render prep tasks such as scene setup, file organization, and asset prep (as appropriate for skill level).
